The miracle of evolution

The philosophy of origins of this universe and humanity is built on miracles. Evolution is not based on science since science is based on observation, repetition and measurement. Dr John Durant concludes “that the secular myths of evolution have had ‘a damaging effect on scientific research’, leading to ‘distortion, to needless controversy, and to the gross misuse of science’.” (How evolution became a scientific myth’, New Scientists, 11 Sept 1980, p.765)
“Scientists who go about teaching that evolution is a fact of life are great con-men, and the story they are telling may be the greatest hoax ever. In explaining evolution, we do not have one iota of fact” (Dr T N Tahmisian, quoted by NJ Mitchell, Evolution and the emperor’s New Clothes, Roydon Publications, UK, 1983, title page). Maybe this was spoken a bit prematurely. We have computer simulations (Richard Dawkins, The Blind Watchmaker, 1986, p). The only problem with computers are that you can simulate anything. An example is the contemporary realism of extinct dinosaurs in the film Jurassic Park.
It is said that Charles Darwin is the father of evolution. But Greek philosophers proposed the idea of evolution thousands of years before Darwin popularized it. Anaximandros thought that all animals were made from substances in the sea acted upon by sunlight. Man himself originated from fish (Cambridge Illustrated history of the World’s Science, C Ronan, 1983, Book Club Associates). So Darwin is not the father of evolution.
So what is evolution? It is not science, not biology, or genetics, or biochemistry, or physiology. It’s main function is to show that the Bible, in stating that God is the Creator of all living things, is not the truth. By clothing evolution as science, they try to demonstrate as fact that the Genesis account is a myth. In taking so much trouble to promote an unscientific idea, which in reality has no beneficial value for humanity, ‘Evolution is shown to be a fairy tale for grown-ups. This theory has helped nothing in the progress of science. It is useless (Prof Louis Bounoure, as quoted in The Advocate, Thursday, 8 March, 1984, p 17). Science has given many benefits to mankind, but evolution, especially with their incessant propaganda, is really only proving that the Bible’s account of creation is credible.
Malcolm Muggeridge had this to say: ‘I myself am convinced that the theory of evolution, especially the extent to which it’s been applied, will be one of the great jokes in the history books of the future. Posterity will marvel that so very flimsy and dubious an hypothesis could be accepted with the incredible credulity that it has’. (Pascal Lectures, University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada).
